The lack of adequate insulation in the building can result in noise disturbances from other guests early in the morning, which may disrupt sleep.

I recently stayed at YHA Patterdale for one night and it was a great experience. The custom made bunks in the dorms provided useful storage areas and the lounge area felt like a hotel. The front of house staff were excellent and the location was perfect, with beautiful trails and pubs within walking distance. I also loved the friendly atmosphere and the option to have dinner together. a fantastic stay.

There were a few downsides to my stay. The facilities were not well-maintained, with no toilet paper in the bathroom and no lock on the shower.

Crowded facilities, limited showers and toilets.

The staff at Yha Patterdale were extremely helpful and went above and beyond when their card machine wasn't working, allowing us to still stay and enjoy the bar and breakfast. They even followed up with a phone call to update us. The location is beautiful, perfect for hikers and nature enthusiasts. The rooms were clean and the facilities were good. I highly recommend this hotel.

loved the friendly staff, clean rooms, and waking up to breathtaking mountain views. Yha exceeded my expectations once again, surpassing my previous stay in Patterdale. Their helpfulness and cleanliness were exceptional.

The staff at this YHA were incredibly friendly and helpful. the kitchen and bathrooms/showers were spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. the room we stayed in was huge with a nice view. the common room and dining rooms were big and comfy, perfect for families. the location was easy to reach and had a well-stocked shop nearby. the WiFi in the lounge was good and free.

The views from the rooms and dining room were absolutely breathtaking, making it a truly memorable experience. The hostel was also spotlessly clean, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Plus, the large 10 bed dorm was light and airy, creating a pleasant atmosphere during the stay.

One minor inconvenience was the absence of a wok in the kitchen, which would have been useful for cooking vegetables. It was also surprising that there was no communal shelf for leftover food, something that has been helpful in other hostels.

I had a fantastic stay at the lovely YHA! The beds were incredibly comfortable and perfect for taller people like me. The breakfast was delicious and welcoming, a great start to the day. I gotta say, for my first time staying in a hostel, Yha in Patterdale was absolutely brilliant! The price was unbelievably cheap, I'd highly recommend it to anyone. The location was great, with easy access to the lakes and peaks, and there were local buses to Penrith and Windermere. Oh, and I really loved the dry room facilities!
